Boston Celtics forward Daniel Theis is expected to miss the remainder of the season because of a torn meniscus, the team announced Monday.
Theis suffered the injury on a knee-to-knee collision in Sunday's loss to the Indiana Pacers. Celtics coach Brad Stevens said after the game that he did not think the injury was serious.
Stevens said Semi Ojeleye and Guerschon Yabusele will see more playing time in place of Theis, who has emerged as a valuable role player off Boston's bench.
The 6-foot-9 Theis is averaging 5.
