The Boston Celtics have waived Marcus Georges-Hunt, but that doesn't mean his time as a Celtic is over just yet.
For now, the former Georgia Tech wing will remain a former Celtic while the NBA makes a decision on Jabari Bird, who is currently inactive while the league determines what course of action to take regarding his domestic assault allegations and trial.
Should the league decide his action rose to the level of voiding his contract with the team, Georges-Hunt would then be eligible to rejoin Boston for the 15th and final regular roster slot.
