Celtics sign C.J. Miles; Josh Richardson back in Health and Safety Protocols

The Boston Celtics are signing G/F C.J. Miles to a hardship exemption, sources tell ESPN. Miles, a 15-year veteran, played for the Wizards in the 2019-2020 season.

The Celtics have signed 34 year old NBA veteran C.J. Miles. According to Woj, he is currently in Boston undergoing testing. The NBA just temporarily changed its rules and will allow teams to sign a hardship player for every player in Health and Safety Protocols. Not only that, but teams will be required to sign players to replace certain thresholds of players who are out.

Sources: The NBA will allow teams to sign one replacement player for each of its players who are under contract and tests positive for COVID-19 -- effective immediately through Jan.
