NBC Sports Boston’s Celtics sideline reporter Abby Chin welcomed her second child, Silas John Schmidt, into the world Friday night.
Silas, according to a tweet from Chin’s employer, weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces. He was due Jan. 15 but arrived a little early.

Chin, who also has a 3-year-old daughter named Mabel, worked Wednesday’s home game against the Pacers before going on maternity leave.
