After losing their third straight game on Friday, the Celtics received some relatively good news on Saturday.
Rookie guard Payton Pritchard suffered a Grade I MCL sprain in his right knee, an MRI found on Saturday. Pritchard will still miss time though. He’s expected two miss two weeks, the Celtics said in a statement.
Saturday’s injury update was a positive development after Pritchard went down after Jaylen Brown collided with his right leg in the first quarter of Friday’s loss to the 76ers. Pritchard laid on the court for a few moments before finally getting up and going back to the locker room with assistance.
