Celtics reportedly trade for Jaden Springer, deal Dalano Banton to Portland

Brad Stevens and the Celtics reportedly reeled off a pair of roster moves just ahead of Thursday’s 3 p.m. trade deadline.

The Celtics acquired wing Jaden Springer from the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for a second-round pick, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. In a separate deal, Boston dealt guard Dalano Banton to the Portland Trail Blazers for a “heavily protected second-round pick”, per Wojnarowski.

According to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, Boston will receive a top-55 protected 2027 second-round pick in the swap with Portland for Banton, while the Celtics are giving up a 2024 second-round pick to Philly, per Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
