Isaiah Thomas’ Monday visit to the dental surgeon was the subject of advice from three-quarters of the way across the country.
Asked prior to last night’s 129-119 overtime win against the Washington Wizards in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinal series about what his good friend, the Las Vegas-based boxer Floyd Mayweather, would have done, Thomas said, “He told me I should go to his dentist.”
Instead Thomas settled for local surgery and a specialized mouthpiece. When he hit his face on the floor early last night, he knew the dental work was sound.
