Celtics just made their thoughts on Joe Mazzulla crystal clear

The Boston Celtics just announced that they have signed head coach Joe Mazzulla to a multi-year contract extension, keeping him in town for the foreseeable future. Mazzulla helped Boston lead the franchise to its 18th championship in 2024 and has made the playoffs in each of his three seasons with the Celtics.

A Rhode Island native, Mazzulla took the top job in Boston back in 2022 after Ime Udoka was suspended indefinitely and then ousted from the spot. Since then, Mazzulla has implemented his own style of basketball, highlighted by the aforementioned championship run in 2024, led by Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and an elite core.
