Celtics issue qualifying offers to Terry Rozier and Daniel Theis

The Boston Celtics have tendered qualifying offers to guard Terry Rozier and big man Daniel Theis. These transactions make both Rozier and Theis restricted free agents as the free agency open.

In addition, Boston will not tender qualifying offers to guards P.J. Dozier, Jonathan Gibson, R.J. Hunter and Brad Wanamaker. All four of those players will now be unrestricted free agents.

A qualifying offer is a one-year contract for a pre-set amount. For Rozier, that equates to a $4.3 million dollar offer and for Theis it is $1.
