Celtics fans had to wait a bit but Kyrie Irving was finally introduced as a member of the Celtics during a press conference at TD Garden on Friday.
Irving, acquired from the Cavaliers in the trade that included Isaiah Thomas and a top draft, was introduced along with new teammate Gordon Hayward.
Hayward was signed as a free agent in July.
Coach Brad Stevens and Celtics boss Danny Ainge were also in attendance as the players showed off their new jerseys.
Irving and Hayward both expressed their excitement with joining the Celtics and playing for Stevens, who will be coaching a team that will include only four players from last year's roster.
