Celtics injury report: Kristaps Porzingis to miss fifth straight game, Derrick White out vs. Wizards

The Celtics may be beginning to give their starters extra rest with less than 20 regular season games left.

Ahead of Boston’s game against the 11-55 Washington Wizards on Sunday, the team announced its injury report — and it was a bit lengthy, featuring notable players.

Kristaps Porzingis is set to miss his fifth consecutive game due to a right hamstring strain. Head coach Joe Mazzulla gave a promising update regarding Porzingis’s health on Thursday, but the center will miss at least one more game before returning. The team is assumedly giving Porzingis as much time as possible to rest and recover as the regular season winds down.
