Brad Stevens sent Al Horford footage of Butler against Florida to study

Celtics head coach Brad Stevens never takes a day off.

During the offseason in which the organization managed to obtain the services of diverse, All-Star big man Al Horford, Boston’s assistant coach Jay Larranaga was inundated with video footage from Stevens.

As per The Boston Globe’s Adam Himmelsbach, Larranaga was working with Horford in Atlanta when he was sent examples of set plays that the team runs after timeouts for the center to study and practice.

In a bold move, Stevens even sent footage of his Butler University team successfully running the plays against Horford’s Florida team in the 2006-2007 NCAA tournament.
