Every NBA off-season has its and ups and downs. That’s the case for all 30 franchises (although the New York Knicks, Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns certainly have more downs than ups). The Boston Celtics have had a crazier off-season than most, though.
They didn’t get the reigning Finals MVP and a top three MVP candidate in Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, respectively. They didn’t land Anthony Davis after being heavily linked to the now-Lakers superstar for years.
However, no team saw superstars leave and sign a new one. The Boston Celtics replaced an All-Star starter with another All-Star starter.
