The real shocks came in the first round when the Boston Celtics picked two guards but they did not stop there as they went back to another guard in Marcus Thornton with their final pick in the draft.
This pick made it absolutely certain that the Celtics would be dealing or cutting ties with one or many of the guards currently on the roster and Thornton will certainly be on the fringe of a roster spot.
Thornton has plenty of potential on the offensive end but the Celtics have plenty of guards who have potential on the offensive end.
