With the amount of youth that the Boston Celtics posses on their roster, the preseason should be seen as a time to give these inexperienced players a chance to prove their worth against other NBA talents/ hopefuls. While the team’s core needs minutes to get warmed up heading into the regular season, when it comes to guys like Kemba Walker, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Gordon Hayward, logging loads of preseason action really has no true benefit, as we already know what their roles will be come October 23rd.
Because of this, Carsen Edwards, Romeo Langford and Grant Williams are just a few examples of players that should be given a sizable amount of minutes as the preseason progresses, so Head Coach Brad Stevens can get a better look at what he has in regard to this year’s draft crop.
