Every transaction in the NBA sets off a chain of other transactions. It could be as tiny as the Boston Celtics re-signing Brad Wanamaker to a one-year minimum deal or it could be something as notable as Draymond Green’s extension with the Golden State Warriors.
The best free agent on next year’s market is well…off the market. Green, a former defensive player of the year, would have been the biggest game-changing free agent next July. Not every offseason can be as star-studded and seismic as Free Agency 2019.
With Green now all but a Warrior for life, the 2020 free agent class looks like one that lesser-billed free agents can benefit from.
