There are mixed signals on whether or not the Boston Celtics will be able to complete their quest for championship banner #18 this season. Some pundits have a July return date pegged with a possible single-site playoff tournament to crown a champion.
Obviously, that comes with a slew of complications. Is that safe for the thousands of players, team staff, and doctors that would need to descend upon Las Vegas for this unique scenario? Will that recoup enough money for the league to outweigh the risks?
That is to be determined. The off-season could have started already if the proposed scenario never sees the light of day.
