If the Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers played each other, who would you want to win?
Versions of this question have been a big topic of discussion between myself and my roommates, as we’ve recently discovered that I’m physically incapable of answering it. Something in my brain chemistry refuses to engage with it, to the chagrin of friends, family, and enemies when they ask me, “hey, who are you rooting for?” when we throw a random non-Boston sporting event on the TV.
The structure of the question—which pits two non-Boston teams against one another—necessitates that I objectively decide which team I like more, which I simply cannot do.
