3 free agents the Boston Celtics should consider on a non-guaranteed deal

Non-guaranteed deals are all the rage right now in the NBA. Dwight Howard started the trend when he inked a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers in the wake of DeMarcus Cousins‘ ACL tear. Carmelo Anthony was the next former superstar to sign a deal that he’d have to earn day in and day out to maintain when it was announced that he would be joining the Portland Trailblazers.

The Boston Celtics should consider going down this road.

Why? It’s a legitimate question. The team is 11-2 and seems poised to continue dominating the Eastern Conference through Brad Stevens’ offensive schemes and the ascension of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown to near-All-Star levels.
