The Boston Celtics are 1-1 to open the 2014-15 NBA season, with an impressive 16-point victory over the Brooklyn Nets to their credit.

To coach Brad Stevens, having a healthy Rajon Rondo back has meant the world for his young team so far.

“I thought the last couple days he looks like himself,” Stevens said following the season opener, via Jenny Dial Creech of Ultimate Rockets. “He kind of looks like what I’d seen on film before I got here; I don’t think he ever looked like that at any time last year, because he was coming back. And that’s just the way it goes with that injury. But he is back to full speed.”

After missing all but 30 games last season with an ACL tear, Rondo doesn't look tentative nor ginger like he did when he returned last season.

If he continues to strengthen himself and push forward this season, expect Rondo to be back in the national conversation when it comes to the league's best players sooner rather than later.
