Celtics News: Boston To Be "Very, Very Active" This Offseason, Per Assistant GM

The Boston Celtics laid the groundwork for future success with a playoff berth in 2015, and assistant GM Mike Zarren says that Danny Ainge and the rest of the front office will do everything it can this offseason to keep the momentum going.

“We’ve got a lot of opportunities to do something significant this summer,” Zarren told Steve Bulpett of The Boston Herald, via NESN. “There’s going to be a lot of good free agents. We could move up in the draft. We’ve got assets of every kind that other teams like.

“It’s too early to really know what’s going to happen — the lottery hasn’t even happened yet — but we’ll be very, very active in all phases of front office work this summer.”

The Celtics have a wealth of trade chips at their disposal, with two first-round picks in the 2015 NBA Draft and multiple first-round picks in future drafts. While it's not a sure thing they'll use those to land an impact talent this offseason, it's still trade ammunition nonetheless for a Boston team on the rise.
