The Boston Celtics announced that they have signed guard/forward Chris Babb to a multi-year contact.
Babb has appeared in 45 matchups for the Maine Red Claws, the Celtics NBA D-League affiliate, this season and averaged 15.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 34.7 minutes per game. He was named an NBA D-League All-Star this season.
The 6'5" wing player played in 14 games for the Celtics last season, averaging 1.6 points and 1.2 rebounds in 9.4 minutes per game.
To make room for Babb, who has been re-assigned to the Red Claws, the Celtics have waived forward Shavlik Randolph.
