2015 NBA Draft: Boston Celtics Select Louisville PG Terry Rozier

With the 16th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, the Boston Celtics select Terry Rozier out of Lousiville.

Position: Point Guard

School: Louisville

Class: Sophomore

Measurables: 6’2”, 190 lbs.

Analysis:

Rozier is a volume scorer who combines creative handles and instinctual passing prowess to both create his own open shots and find both trailers on the perimeter and big men with mismatches in the post. His athleticism is his biggest calling card, portending huge upside for a guard who reminds some scouts of a raw Mookie Blaylock. His shot selection is sometimes questionable and he’s still developing a slash game to the rack, but he’s shown a willingness to improve in his day-to-day on-court work. Rozier is also a sneaky ball hawk on the defensive end, capable of picking up steals on effort alone.
