The Providence Bruins took to the ice in Hershey tonight with a chance to make history, and they didn’t disappoint.
Powered by two goals from Jordan Swarz and a second-period tally by Wayne Simpson, the Bruins beat the Bears, 4-2, in Game 7 to win the series and move on to the Eastern Conference Final.
The Bruins jumped out to an early 1-0 lead on Swarz’s first goal, only to give it right back shortly thereafter on a goal by Riley Barber.
However, the Bruins pulled away in the second on Swarz’s second of the night, coming off a great play on an odd-man rush.
