The Bruins are reportedly one of four NHL teams considering playing their home games outdoors

The Bruins have reportedly been in contact with state and city officials about potentially playing their home games outdoors, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported Thursday.

“I had heard specific mention of Fenway Park, and was told that is in an ‘exploratory phase,’ but it was stressed all venue options are being considered,” Friedman wrote.

Friedman made it clear it’s “a long shot” they’ll actually regularly play outdoors, but he said “it is being explored.” The Bruins are reportedly one of four teams looking into the idea, along with the Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Kings, and Pittsburgh Penguins.
