Recap: In Game 3 loss, Bruins’ forward depth, defense go silent for 40 minutes

From the onset of the game, Tampa showed much more patience than Boston. The jitters were obvious early, especially on Matt Grzelcyk’s failure to corral a bouncing chip-in that immediately resulted in a goal. Ondrej Palat would tip a point shot from Victor Hedman to put Tampa up by two in under five minutes.

The energy from Boston climbed towards the end of the first, and DeBrusk’s patented zing - along with a VERY disorienting cycle from him, David Krejci and Rick Nash - drew a penalty, and Boston made sure to capitalize.
