Recap: Bruins extend win streak with 6-3 physical win over the Capitals

Two-goals apiece from David Krejci, Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand led the Boston Bruins to double down on the Washington Capitals and come away with a 6-3 win this afternoon at the TD Garden.

Marchand’s four-point game earned him his 700th career point.

“The big boys came to play today,” Bruce Cassidy said.

The Bruins have now extended their winning streak to four games. All the Bruins’ goals came on 5v5 play, as special teams had trouble getting anything going on their three power plays (which included a five-minute advantage.)

The B’s had something to prove against the Capitals, after a crushing defeat in their last meeting.
