Random Bruins highlight: Michael Ryder saves the day

Michael Ryder was one of my favorite Bruins of that “era” of Bruins teams. I’m not really sure why — maybe it was that he had a beautiful shot, or maybe it was the Newfoundland accent.

Either way, he was great. He was productive during his years in Boston, scoring 27, 18 and 18 goals in three seasons. He was also huge during the 2011 playoffs, putting up 17 points in the Bruins’ 25-game run to the Cup.

However, his biggest moment during that run didn’t show up on the stat sheet.
