David Krejci and Johnny Boychuk were on opposing benches tonight, but for six seasons, they both sported the spoked-B.
Boychuk undoubtedly benefited from some of Krejci’s sublime passes during those years, and tonight, Boychuk returned the favor with an assist of his own: he returned Krejci’s teeth.
Late in the second period of tonight’s game against the New York Islanders, Krejci was leveled by a hit from Thomas Hickey. The hit appeared to daze Krejci, who was late to the start of the third period.
As it turns out, he didn’t need to visit the quiet room or get tested for a concussion.
