In the second signing of the day, U.S Women’s National Team defenseman and Olympian Gisele “Gigi” Marvin is now officially a member of the Boston Pride.
Marvin played for the CWHL’s Boston Blades during the 2012-2013 season and helped them win the Clarkson Cup. She finished her college career with Minnesota at number six on the program’s all-time scoring list with 195 points. At the 2012 World Championships, after transitioning from forward to defenseman, she led all defenders with nine points in five games. This level of versatility makes her an exciting addition to the team.
