Former Bruins Forward Placed On Waivers Amid Bad Start

A former Boston Bruins forward has officially hit the waiver wire.

According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, former Bruins forward Danton Heinen has been placed on waivers by the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Heinen hitting waivers comes with him in the middle of a tough start to the 2026-27 season. In 10 games this season with the Blue Jackets, he has yet to record a point and a has a minus-2 rating. Now, he is available for the taking on waivers with this roster move by Columbus.

Teams looking for more forward depth and experience could consider taking a chance on Heinen.
