Former Bruins forward ends up near the top of an anonymous NHL player poll

If trading him wasn't bad enough, general manager Don Sweeney traded him to the Florida Panthers. The move paid off in South Florida after the Panthers won their second straight Stanley Cup.

Marchand re-signed with Florida in the offseason to finish his career there. There was some hope within the fan base that he would come back to Boston in free agency, but that door was closed long before free agency began. Marchand ended up signing with the Panthers before free agency began.
