The Bruins were without their top scorer for the majority of Tuesday’s home matchup against the Washington Capitals.
David Pastrnak exited Boston’s game against Washington midway through the second period due to an upper-body injury, with the Bruins tabbing him as “unlikely to return” early in the third period.
Pastrnak — who logged 9:00 of ice time — exited the game for good with 11:45 remaining in the second period.
The 28-year-old winger appeared to be skating gingerly early in the second period of play, but then appeared to be in some pain after making contact with Capitals forward Tom Wilson near center ice.
