The Boston Bruins are reportedly bolstering their blue line with a local product.
According to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, the Bruins have signed defenseman Jordan Harris. Terms of the contract has not been reported yet.
Harris, 24, is a 5-foot-11 left-shot defenseman who could serve as a reserve option on Boston’s D corps moving forward.
Harris has plenty of familiarity with Boston, as he hails from Haverhill and played four seasons at Northeastern — serving as captain of the Huskies during the 2021-22 season.
He hit the free agent market this week after the Blue Jackets opted to not quality Harris, who scored a goal and posted five points over 33 games in Columbus.
