The Bruins have reportedly added some heft on their bottom-six unit.
According to Elliottte Friedman, the Bruins are signing winger Tanner Jeannot to a five-year contract that will account for a $3.4 million cap hit.
That is a steep price for the Bruins in both term and payout for a player who might be better suited for a fourth-line role in the NHL.
The 28-year-old winger is one of the more physical players in the NHL — with the 6-foot-2, 220-pound winger recording 200-plus hits in all four of his full seasons in the NHL ranks.
