Bruins reach contract agreements with three of their own players ahead of NHL free agency

Less than 24 hours after locking up restricted free agent Morgan Geekie with a six-year contract extension worth $5.5 million annually, the Bruins reached agreements with three more in-house free agents.

Unrestricted free agent defenseman Henri Jokiharju, restricted free agent forward Johnny Beecher, and Group 6 free agent goalie Michael DiPietro all agreed to new deals.

Jokiharju came to Boston from Buffalo on trade deadline day when the Bruins shipped a 2026 fourth-round draft pick to the Sabres. He immediately jumped into the Boston lineup and fit in nicely, often paired with Nikita Zadorov.
