The Bruins placed five skaters on waivers today, trimming the roster a bit in preparation for Opening Night on Thursday.
The waived:
- Anton Blidh
- Paul Carey
- Steven Kampfer
- Greg McKegg
- Zach Senyshyn
There aren’t really any big surprises in the group above, as none of these guys was expected to seriously challenge for a spot on the Opening Night roster.
With the AHL season on hold and the NHL employing its new taxi squad model this season, these five skaters will likely be kept around as part of that squad.
