After missing most of the 2024-25 season with a knee injury, it was a refreshing sight to see Hampus Lindholm back with the Boston Bruins in training camp. He played well on opening night in a 3-1 win over the Washington Capitals. He was looking to continue the good start to the season at home on Thursday night when the Chicago Blackhawks visited for the Black and Gold's home opener.
Lindholm left the Bruins' bench during the first period of action. During the second period of Boston's 4-3 overtime win over Chicago, the Bruins' account announced that Lindholm was out with a lower-body injury.
