The loss hurts, but—credit where credit’s due—Brian Hill was as advertised. I’d still take McNichols any day, but Brian Hill is a player that will definitely be worth keeping tabs on. Also, aside from McNichols’ impressive day, Bronco fans can take heart from the hard running of true freshman, Alexander Mattison. He only had 40 yards, but that came on just 4 carries and, more importantly, displayed some impressively physical and balanced running.
