Former Boise State QB and OC Mike Sanford is enjoying a meteoric rise through the coaching ranks. Having joined Boise State as Coach Harsin’s first OC after guiding David Shaw’s RBs at Stanford, Sanford helped lead the Broncos to a MWC title and Fiesta Bowl win in his first year in the OC chair and then left for the greener(?) pastures of North Bend where he helped call the offensive shots for Brian Kelly the last two seasons. Earlier this month, Sanford got his coveted head coaching job at Western Kentucky and vowed to fill out his new staff with connections from past gigs.
