Seeing two-time NBA All-Star guard Damian Lillard in Boise is not a new sight, but seeing him throw the football around — and doing it quite well, it should be said — that’s something to behold.
Lillard is working out with former college coach Phil Beckner, who oversaw his growth at Weber State. The pair worked together last summer here, too. Beckner was promoted to associate head coach of the Boise State men’s basketball team Tuesday.
On Friday, Lillard posted a video of himself throwing a 40-yard pass into the end zone at Albertsons Stadium with the caption “I’m coming home to play with Marshawn,” a nod to his hometown Oakland Raiders.
