He’s back! Cowboys’ Kellen Moore likely to play in first game in 19 months Thursday

Wednesday marked exactly one year since Kellen Moore broke his right ankle, ending his 2016 season before it started.

On Thursday, he’s expected to see his first game action since Jan. 2, 2016 — a span of 19 months.

Moore and the Dallas Cowboys face the Arizona Cardinals in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio, at 6 p.m. Thursday on NBC and NFL Network. The Cardinals have said their starters won’t play, while the Cowboys haven’t tipped their hand.

But if, as expected, starting quarterback Dak Prescott doesn’t play much, that will mean a lot of time for the former Boise State legend.
