One touch of the ball was all Avery Williams needed to net one Mountain West honor.
The Boise State redshirt freshman was named the conference’s Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday. In the first quarter of the Broncos’ 24-13 win over Troy on Saturday, Williams’ first career play was an 81-yard punt return for a touchdown.

Williams finished the day with 124 punt return yards, the sixth-most in a single game in Boise State history, and also added a 48-yard kickoff return.
