Broncos dispatch Aztecs, win seventh straight

San Diego State came out guns blazing (not literally, but this is a permitless open carry state) and jumped out to a 21-10 lead before Boise State woke up and started chipping away at the Aztec lead. Senior transfer James Reid was the catalyst that allowed the Broncos to storm back behind 4-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc. Reid was the only Bronco that was able to match the hot shooting of SDSU’s Max Hoetzel, who opened scoring for the Aztecs and didn’t let up until he’d gone a perfect 4-of-4 from 3-point range before halftime. Luckily, Boise State ended the half with a flourish after trailing for nearly 18 minutes and took a 39-35 lead into the locker room.
