Boise State’s downfall in the first round of the Women’s NCAA Tournament was its inability to hit the outside shot.
The Broncos were 4-for-30 from the 3-point arc as they fell to Louisville 74-42 on Friday at the KFC Yum Center.
Boise State, the 16th seed in the Lexington Regional, finishes the season with a 23-10 record.
“Congratulations to Louisville. They are definitely a No. 1 seed, and I thought they played outstanding basketball in the third quarter,” Broncos coach Gordy Presnell said. “I thought we came out soft in the third quarter and that created too much of a gap.
