Boise State is expected to hire Chris Acker as its new assistant men’s basketball coach, the Idaho Statesman learned Wednesday. The school is expected to confirm the move this afternoon.
Acker spent the last two seasons as an assistant at Hawai’i. Prior to his time with the Rainbow Warriors, Acker served as the head coach at West Los Angeles College for two years and was an assistant at Citrus College for six years. He played collegiately at Chaminade, located in Honolulu.
Acker will fill the assistant spot left by John Rillie, who took an assistant job at UC Santa Barbara in the offseason.
