The Boise State football team got perhaps its best possible matchup in the Las Vegas Bowl, with a little help from old friend Chris Petersen.
Petersen’s Washington squad was No. 11 in the College Football Playoff rankings, giving the Pac-12 two teams in New Year’s Six bowls, along with champion USC.
That bumped up the Pac-12’s bowl pecking order, and meant Oregon will face Boise State in Dec. 16’s Las Vegas Bowl. Boise State also finished No. 25 in the final CFP rankings.
