Boise State football lands Kansas transfer quarterback Montell Cozart

After being reduced to just three scholarship quarterbacks when junior college transfer Rathen Ricedorff rendered himself ineligible last month, the Boise State football team has found an experienced addition.

Montell Cozart, a graduate transfer from Kansas, has committed to the Broncos, according to a source. Cozart had a team-high 1,075 passing yards last season for the Jayhawks, completing 58.9 percent of his passes with seven touchdowns to nine interceptions. He also was a team captain. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Cozart started 18 games at Kansas and will be a redshirt senior this fall.

Cozart, a native of the Kansas City area, decided to leave Kansas in February.
