The Boise State football team jumped into The Associated Press Top 25 and USA Today Coaches’ polls Sunday for the first time this season.
The Broncos (9-2 overall, 7-0 Mountain West) are No. 24 in both polls, behind Northwestern and ahead of Virginia Tech. They were No. 25 in the College Football Playoff rankings on Tuesday.
Boise State extended its streak of seasons with an appearance in the AP Top 25 to 16, starting in 2002. That’s tied for the eighth-longest active streak in the country.
The Broncos beat Air Force 44-19 on Saturday night at Albertsons Stadium.
