Boise State dismisses football player after he’s jailed on domestic battery charge

Linebacker Kameron Dante Miles, 22, has been dismissed from the Boise State football team and faces a charge of misdemeanor domestic battery after an altercation with a woman at a residence near Pennsylvania Street and Amy Avenue, Boise police report.

Miles, of Mesquite, Texas, would have been a senior going into the 2017 season.

He was booked into the Ada County Jail at 2:41 a.m. Wednesday and is expected to make his first court appearance Wednesday afternoon, according to the Ada County Sheriff’s Office online jail roster.

Boise State sports information director Joe Nickell issued a statement Wednesday morning saying that, “Kameron Miles has been dismissed from the Boise State football team following his arrest earlier this morning.
